New flower pictures

Today I ventured down to Point Defiance Park in Tacoma for a blissful 90 minute photo shoot of the roses, dahlias and fuschias. I just finished formatting an order to Spoonflower for a yard of flower pictures scaled to small rectangles. I thought these fuschia blossoms looked like little flower fairies hanging on by their heads.

Day One

I have been inspired by the Julie/Julia project to try something similar with my collected quilt books, quilt magazines, and vast array of materials in my sewing room. After three days of rearranging, sorting and getting reacquainted with just what I have, I am about to embark on a year or so of experimenting and play with fiber, fabric, paint, beads, buttons and all manner of interesting things I have on hand.
